IESE MBA Summer Entrepreneurship Experience program visits ICN2

Students from IESE discussed business ideas and opportunities with managers and researchers from different Research Groups.

Students from the IESE MBA Summer Entrepreneurship Experience program visited ICN2 on June 23. They received an introduction to nanoscience by Boaz Kogon, Strategy Manager, some real study cases by Jordi Reverter, Knowledge and Technology Transfer Manager, and some thoughts about why working with nanoideas is different by Alex Argemi, Marketing and Communication Manager. After that a visit to two laboratories compromised with technology transfer was scheduled.

The visitors had the opportunity to chat with Dr. Ana Belén Gonzalez and Dr. Maria Del Mar Alvarez Sanchez about the transference opportunities and spin offs related with the ICN2’s Nanobiosensors and Bioanalytical Applications (nanoB2A) Group, led by CSIC Full Professor Prof Laura Lechuga. They also visited Dr. Mary Cano, from the ICN2’s Supramolecular NanoChemistry & Materials (NANOUP) led by ICREA Research Professor Daniel Maspoch, who explained some innovative initiatives based on nano- and microencapsulation.

Both the organizers and the visitors agreed that the day was intense and fruitful. ICN2 is open to collaboration with highly motivated students and will look forward establishing a closer cooperation with IESE to participate in the development of valuable professionals.
